      Delivery

      UK Mainland Shipping

      A £5.00 shipping charge applies to orders of £100.00 and under to mainland UK. Selected orders to the value of £100.01 or more to mainland UK are FREE! **   Deliveries to addresses that are not classed as mainland UK by the couriers, may incur a surcharge - if this is the case we will let you know either by email or phone you to discuss how you wish to proceed.

      We use a variety of couriers, dependent on who can get your order to you efficiently.  It's difficult to quote exact delivery times to you, but as most couriers have web based parcel tracker services - we can advise you the tracking number to enable you follow your parcel's progress.

      Our aim is that orders received by 11am Monday-Friday will be shipped that day and usually take 1-3 working days to arrive. In the unlikely event that we cannot ship your order within 24 hours, we will e-mail you with an expected delivery date. Please be aware that if you order a bike, it may take a little longer to prepare and ship as we have to build them up in our workshop and then re-package them in over-sized boxes before shipping them on to you. We will keep you informed of the of the progress of your order by email.

      Royal Mail parcel post typically takes 3 working days (90%), as does second class letter post (98%). Over 90% of first class letters are delivered the next working day. For more information please see www.postwatch.co.uk.

      All items are advertised subject to availability.  We are a small retailer, and while we do have a modern EPOS system, mistakes can still happen.  Inevitably, we may therefore occasionally sell out of an item that is still showing as in stock on the website. If we have sold out of an item which we cannot get replenishment stock, or supply future stock at the same price, we will refund you, and let you know by email.

      If it ever happens we will inform you by e-mail or phone of the availability and price before dispatching the goods, and give you the option of cancelling your order or considering an alternative. If we have charged you and you do not wish to take up the alternative we will of course refund you.

      Please note that for deliveries to the Highlands & Islands, while we will endeavor to ship by the fastest service possible, we have been unable to get a guarantee from any courier that it will actually be a next day delivery. We will always do our best to provide you with the most economic option for you.

      Finally as the majority of parcels will require a signature on receipt, please arrange for someone to be at the delivery address to save you having to make a trip to the Post Office or couriers depot.  If you are not in when the courier tries to deliver your parcel they should leave a card informing you of how to rearrange delivery or where you can go to collect your parcel from.

      Incorrectly Ordered Items

      We hope that you will be happy with everything that you buy from us but we do understand that occasionally things might not be quite right.  In these circumstances we want you to have confidence in us to resolve the problem quickly.  You have up to 30 days from receipt of your order to return an item for a no quibble refund.  If you are returning an incorrectly ordered item (for example: you don't like the colour, it's the wrong size or you've simply changed your mind) then you will be responsible for any return postage costs.    

      It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is returned to us in an unused, resalable condition, packaged in a safe and secure manner, preferably with all original packaging, we suggest that you use a recorded postal/courier service. Please ensure that the service you use covers the value of the goods in the parcel.

      Return shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error is ours.

      Faulty Items

      If you wish to return an item because it is faulty upon receipt or has developed a fault, please contact us on 01229 581116 or email orders@velobikes.co.uk so we can advise you on what to do.

      Several types of goods are exempt from being returned:  Energy food products, videos, DVD, computer/gps software, personalised goods, gift cards and vouchers, underwear or personal safety equipment.

      To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

      Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

      There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

      A book with obvious signs of use any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

      In cases where the item is faulty we will refund reasonable postage costs, please talk to us first.

      Sale items (if applicable)

      Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

      Exchanges (if applicable)

      We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for, perhaps for a different size or colour, send us an email at sales@velobikes.co.uk and send your item to: Velo Ulverston, Lightburn Trading Estate, Ulverston, LA12 7NE. In these instances all post costs associated with the transaction must be borne by the customer.  

      Gifts

      If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

      If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return. Returned items should be returned to Velo Ulverston, Lightburn Trading Estate, Ulverston, LA12 7NE

      Refunds (if applicable)

      Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

      Refunding the cost of delivery

      Please Note:  We will only refund the basic delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place, if you opted for an enhanced service e.g. guaranteed next day, we will only refund our standard basic cost.

      If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days of the receipt of the returned goods.

      Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

      If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

      Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

      Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

      If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at sales@velobikes.co.uk.

       

      BIKE HIRE REFUND POLICY

      Cancellations

      a.       You shall be entitled to cancel your booking subject to Grizedale Mountain Bikes receiving your request for cancellation at least 48 hours before the booking start time.  Any requests for cancellation must be made by telephone on 01229 860335 or 01229 860369 AND followed by a written email to hire@velobikes.co.uk.  You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of a cancellation under this clause.

      b.      After 48 hours prior to commencing your booking, Grizedale Mountain bikes will offer no refund for any booking, but will endeavor alter the time and date to an acceptable time and date for Grizedale Mountain Bikes and yourselves.  This must be taken within 12 months from the original booking.

      c.       Grizedale Mountain Bikes shall be entitled to cancel your booking at any time.  In the event that Grizedale Mountain Bikes decides to cancel your booking it shall use its reasonable endeavors to notify you as soon as possible.  You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancelation under this clause but no other compensation shall be payable.

      d.      In the event that it proves necessary to close the Activities for reasons beyond the control of Grizedale Mountain Bikes and in circumstances where your party has commenced participation in the activities, you shall not be entitled to any refund (in part or in whole).  In such circumstances Grizedale Mountain Bikes may, but shall not be obliged to, offer alternative dates or times at reduced rates.

      Group Bookings and cancellations

      a.       All group bookings of 10 or more participants (that are not booked via the website by the participants) will only have a confirmation of the booking once an email has been received from the participants with the details of the group and a confirmation email has then been received from Grizedale Mountain Bikes.

      b.      Once a group booking has been confirmed, the cancellation policy is the same as that in clause 5.

      c.       Once an invoice has been issued to a group, this is counted as a promise of payment and should therefore be paid in full unless the group has canceled up to 48 hours before in writing.  In this case the Invoice will be seen as null and void.

      d.      All groups will be bound by the same terms and conditions as all other participants, as laid out in this document.

       8.       Refunds and Amendments

      a.       Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card or, if the card has subsequently expired, by cheque.  Payments made by Gift Voucher will be refunded by the issuing of a replacement Gift Voucher to the same value.

      b.      Where multiple forms of payment are used, Grizedale Mountain Bikes reserves the right to refund any monies due on a refund or amendment by credit or cheque.

      When purchasing your item from us, simply choose the Click & Collect option and choose to have the item delivered to your local store.

      Our Click & Collect service offers all the benefits of shopping online combined with an award winning retail experience in one of our stores. Simply order your items, select Click & Collect and pick up your item at a time that's convenient for you. Best of all the service is completely FREE!

      How to Click & Collect

      1. Add your items to your basket

      Use our website to browse our catalogue of products with stock availability. When you find the item you want simply add it to your basket like you usually would.

      2. Checkout using Click & Collect

      Scroll down and choose Click & Collect as your delivery method. Enter your postcode at the checkout to find your closest store.

      3. Choose the store of your choice and pop down

      Choose a store of your liking, click continue and complete the rest of our standard checkout steps and you’re ready to collect your item in store.

      Frequently Asked Questions

      When can I collect my order?

      For items in stock at the chosen collection store, we will have your item ready to collect within 1-2 working days.

      For items which are at our warehouse or another store your order will be ready to collect within 6 working days.

      If you order a bike we will contact you and arrange a collection appointment. Some bikes go through a PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) delivered by one of our Cytech accredited mechanics, this means that getting your bike ready for collection may take a little longer (information on which bikes this applies to can be found on the product page).

      How will I know when my order is ready?

      For every order we will send you an e-mail to let you know when your order is ready to collect. If you’ve ordered a bike we will contact you once you have placed your order to arrange a collection time.

      What do I need to collect my order?

      Please bring with you your confirmation e-mail, a proof of ID (i.e. passport, driving license), and proof of address.

      We will hold your order in store for 10 days, if you have any problems with getting to the store to collect your order please feel free to contact the collection store and we will happily extend this time where possible.

      Can someone else collect my order?

      Please contact the store you have chosen to collect from in advance and we will do our best to accommodate any changes relating to collection. 

      How do I cancel/change my order?

      If you wish to cancel your order or make any changes please contact the store directly, contact information can be found here. Please note, full refunds will be made via the original transaction made with our online team.

      How do I return my order?
