Incorrectly Ordered Items
We hope that you will be happy with everything that you buy from us but we do understand that occasionally things might not be quite right. In these circumstances we want you to have confidence in us to resolve the problem quickly. You have up to 30 days from receipt of your order to return an item for a no quibble refund. If you are returning an incorrectly ordered item (for example: you don't like the colour, it's the wrong size or you've simply changed your mind) then you will be responsible for any return postage costs.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is returned to us in an unused, resalable condition, packaged in a safe and secure manner, preferably with all original packaging, we suggest that you use a recorded postal/courier service. Please ensure that the service you use covers the value of the goods in the parcel.
Return shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error is ours.
If you wish to return an item because it is faulty upon receipt or has developed a fault, please contact us on 01229 581116 or email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can advise you on what to do.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned: Energy food products, videos, DVD, computer/gps software, personalised goods, gift cards and vouchers, underwear or personal safety equipment.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
A book with obvious signs of use any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
In cases where the item is faulty we will refund reasonable postage costs, please talk to us first.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for, perhaps for a different size or colour, send us an email at email@example.com and send your item to: Velo Ulverston, Lightburn Trading Estate, Ulverston, LA12 7NE. In these instances all post costs associated with the transaction must be borne by the customer.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return. Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Refunding the cost of delivery
Please Note: We will only refund the basic delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place, if you opted for an enhanced service e.g. guaranteed next day, we will only refund our standard basic cost.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days of the receipt of the returned goods.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

BIKE HIRE REFUND POLICY
a. You shall be entitled to cancel your booking subject to Grizedale Mountain Bikes receiving your request for cancellation at least 48 hours before the booking start time. Any requests for cancellation must be made by telephone on 01229 860335 or 01229 860369 AND followed by a written email to email@example.com. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of a cancellation under this clause.
b. After 48 hours prior to commencing your booking, Grizedale Mountain bikes will offer no refund for any booking, but will endeavor alter the time and date to an acceptable time and date for Grizedale Mountain Bikes and yourselves. This must be taken within 12 months from the original booking.
c. Grizedale Mountain Bikes shall be entitled to cancel your booking at any time. In the event that Grizedale Mountain Bikes decides to cancel your booking it shall use its reasonable endeavors to notify you as soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancelation under this clause but no other compensation shall be payable.
d. In the event that it proves necessary to close the Activities for reasons beyond the control of Grizedale Mountain Bikes and in circumstances where your party has commenced participation in the activities, you shall not be entitled to any refund (in part or in whole). In such circumstances Grizedale Mountain Bikes may, but shall not be obliged to, offer alternative dates or times at reduced rates.
Group Bookings and cancellations
a. All group bookings of 10 or more participants (that are not booked via the website by the participants) will only have a confirmation of the booking once an email has been received from the participants with the details of the group and a confirmation email has then been received from Grizedale Mountain Bikes.
b. Once a group booking has been confirmed, the cancellation policy is the same as that in clause 5.
c. Once an invoice has been issued to a group, this is counted as a promise of payment and should therefore be paid in full unless the group has canceled up to 48 hours before in writing. In this case the Invoice will be seen as null and void.
d. All groups will be bound by the same terms and conditions as all other participants, as laid out in this document.
8. Refunds and Amendments
a. Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card or, if the card has subsequently expired, by cheque. Payments made by Gift Voucher will be refunded by the issuing of a replacement Gift Voucher to the same value.
b. Where multiple forms of payment are used, Grizedale Mountain Bikes reserves the right to refund any monies due on a refund or amendment by credit or cheque.
