    On this page you will find information on mountain bike hire, hire prices, you can Book your bike online or discover the vast array of trails Grizedale has to offer, whether with one of our bikes or with your own.

    A bit about us...

    Nestled in the heart of Grizedale Forest in the Lake District National Park, Grizedale Mountain Bikes is one of the largest bike hire centers in the North West.  We offer safe, off-road riding for riders of all ages - 12months to 100 years+!  With a mixture of gravel tracks and technical single track we have something for everyone.  Be warned though, we are very hilly and even the easiest trail has a long up hill but don't let that put you off, your effort will be rewarded with fantastic views.

    For more information on our different types  of trails please click the links below...

    Forest Trails - Perfect for the family or less experienced Mountain Biker, a gravel track that is lots of fun.  Standard bikes and electric bikes are the perfect bikes for these trails.

    The North Face trail (Red route) - For the more adventurous and more experienced rider.  This trail requires a degree of skill on a bike.  Not sure if this is a suitable trail?  Give us a call on 01229860335 and we will be happy to discuss this with you.  Remember you will need a Premium bike for this trail.


    The Black - Only to be attempted by very experienced riders - this is a short trail with jumps and drop offs - To attempt this trail you need to hire a full suspension.

    The Bridleways - The most varied riding in the forest, these require a degree of skill and navigation but are some of the more rewarding trails in the forest.  There are several routes to try depending on your skill level so please have a good browse at our recommended routes and feel free to ask us all about them in the shop.  These trails require a Premium bike to ride.
